LinkOptimizer 2.5 Released

(Press Release)

A new version of LinkOptimizer, version 2.5 has been released, introducing some major changes in the way LinkOptimizer works and integrates with InDesign:

* Once launched, LinkOptimizer can now be controlled as a separate application while retaining its integration of an InDesign plug-in. LinkOptimizer window doesn't float above all others anymore during preparation for processing.

* Launch LinkOptimizer directly from the InDesign CS3 menus.
o By default, the menu location is Zevrix->LinkOptimizer.

o You can switch the location of all the Zevrix plug-in menus from the Zevrix to File menu and vice versa using the Edit->Zevrix Menus menu.

o To assign a shortcut to the LinkOptimizer menu, go to Edit->Keyboard Shortcuts->Work Area->Scripts.

Please note: LinkOptimizer 2.5 takes advantage of the new plug-in and script integration engine introduced with InDesign CS3. The installation process and structure with InDesign CS3 is different from previous versions of LinkOptimizer, and involves several support files which didn't present before.

If you use InDesign CS3, updating to LinkOptimizer 2.5 from previous versions will require two steps:
1. Update your copy of LinkOptimizer.
2. Run Zevrix CS3 Migrator (included with the 2.5 updater) to install your copy of LinkOptimizer 2.5 properly with InDesign CS3.

If you use InDesign CS2, you'll need to replace the script LinkOptimizer.scpt (which launches LinkOptimizer from InDesign's Scripts palette) with LinkOptimizer Launcher.scpt (included with the 2.5 updater).

The updater will guide you through all the steps and include Read Me files with all details.

All these steps will NOT be required for consequent updates of LinkOptimizer 2.5 and higher.

The update is free to registered users of LinkOptimizer and can be downloaded from Zevrix Solutions. Utilities for InDesign, FileMaker, Mac OS X
