Colour preservation throughout the workflow?!

I have these files I scanned, modified with various adjustment layers with several elements that are set to use 100% Cyan or 100% yellow etc.


When done I need to put the file in illustrator for various adding purposes but I notice that the colour information has changed .... 100% cyan becomes CMYK 85%,25%,24% etc( random figure ... can't recall on top of my head ).

How do I properly save the file so it remains at the 100% colours just like I specified in photoshop(without any colour shifts when I import in Illy )????


I did this earlier today but can't come revert .... what the frack I am going insane.

ps: it's obvious I'm a proper workflow colour management newbie... don't hate me :wink:

A conversion is taking place somewhere, so you need to either turn off CM in everything except Photoshop, or make sure that Illy is configured the same as Photoshop. Also, make sure you are not using RGB images, and that Illy is set to honor embedded profiles if you leave CM on.
