Make selection from layer

In older Photoshops I could ctrl-click on a layer, and make a selection of the transparency of that layer.

Now I'm using CS2, that doesn't work any more.

How can I easily make a selection from a layer?

Thank you.

It still works - you just have to make sure you click on the thumbnail of the layer in the palette.

Don't feel silly - I did the same thing when they made the change. It's a dumb change if you ask me - they didn't really have to change it.
