Hey, no offense intended,
we have avoided this for many years and I guess we're just lucky to be us.
(Our server is a fairly old SUN Enterprise 450 w/ cat5)
On the other hand, we DO copy ripped data from the Brisque server to local before manipulation, but this is only a once-per-while thing.
Now, honestly, I hadn't read the links. I have now. I'm just glad it's all but a non-issue in our particular environs.
Seems like a big huge cop-out that Adobe can just "reccommend" not using current mainstream technology (working from servers)
It sounds like a memo they wrote to describe trouble with 150 Bernoulli drives back in the day!
Oh well, such is life.
