Noise pattern

I have a photoshop greyscale tif file that has a speckled background created using the noise filter and when it is proofed on a kodak approval at 133 or 150 line screen, an unwanted checkerboard pattern appears. Any solutions?I have a photoshop greyscale tif file that has a speckled background created using the noise filter and when it is proofed on a kodak approval at 133 or 150 line screen, an unwanted checkerboard pattern appears. When the speckle pattern was created, it sounds like a tile patteren was used, instead of a Gausian (Random) pattern.
When the screening is applied, it make a repeating pattern based on the speckling tile applied to the image.

A more random method of appling the speckling is needed.
