Photoshop not opening

When I try and open up photoshop......I get this message and it doesnt open....

The application photoshop has quit unexpectedly

I WAS futzing around with my fonts just before this happened eliminating all but the necessary ones in the system library......I eliminated them under advice of an AGFA bulletin we recieved...

Seems on the splash screen that says something about Warnock (sometimes) or Neuva (sometimes) which I know are both fonts.....Illustrator wont boot either though it seems that all other apps are ok. (Acrobat, Quark, etc. etc.)

Any suggestions will be appreciated....(Im not even sure where the preferences are for Photoshop and illustrator are to tell yall the truth)

Recreating preferences files didn't work I gather?

Have you tried removing the AdobeFntxx.lst files? (xx is a number).

... try following some of these steps: Troubleshoot system errors or freezes in Photoshop (CS2 on Mac OS X)

thanks for the info..

I managed to figure out the problem...for now anyway.

I deleted the Adobe fonts folder (I guess photoshop and Illustrator both use the same folder cause they both work now)

It was located under Library-Application Support-Adobe where there was a font folder which I just trashed.

and its a nice fat list of fonts

it would be nice if all software developers gave us the option of not installing additional fonts
