Okay, what version of photoshop/illustrator?
Are you talking adjustment layers, too?
I know you can go Illus to PS, but I'm not too sure if it will go the other way.
I'll try a few things and get back to you.

In CS1 there is File>Jump to> Illustrator(then upon prompt choose> convert PS layers to objects and make text editable where possible.) , it holds some layers. Not sure if CS2 has it... but I believe if the layer has any kind of filter or effect applied it will flatten/rasterize when taken to Illi. None of the other formats work, or at least I can't make them. Good Luck and let us know if you figure something out.

I tried that to but the designer has effects on almost every layer so they all get rasterized.

That sucks, I really don't think there is a way absent of a special plugin, or something. I have been trying for 20 minutes now, and can't get an acceptable outcome, sorry I couldn't be of more help.

I don't know much about it (haven't had time to play with it yet), but do you think that this would be something the "Bridge" might be able to handle?
:?:
Just curious,
David

rasterize that Mutha' and drop it into Illy > chances are (without seeing the design and I could be wrong) the designer will never know with the final product. I've been guilty of doing this in the past as a work around, and everyone loved the finished piece. 8)

Why do you want to do this in the first place? By knowing the reason why, we might beable to find a different solution.
