outlook - disk is full error message

Oh, boy, some moron has sent me a 20MB file that is clogging up the email. It's over 20MB and the emails behind can't come in.

Anyone know if there is any way to stop this email from coming in?

? I am looking online myself......maybe there is an answer through google.

The only way I know of is to have your provider (hopefully small and doesn't rhyme with KO Smell) trash the message at the server end.

I had to do it a few times back when my last job hosted email service for some small companies. They'd have like a 50MB attachement sent then wonder why they couldn't receive any other messages. :roll:

If you can access your account on webmail you can delete the problem email or move it to a different folder than retrieve the rest of your mail. You usually have this option with any ISP I've seen.

What version of Outlook and what OS? I have seen this happen when your messages file reaches the OS limit of 1.9 Gb. You can clean up your messages by compacting the folders/databases by holding down option key when launching Outlook.

I came in this morning and the email was working....someone either fixed it or files were deleted off the server?? I'm not sure but I don't have time to look into it now.....
