Viewing folders in list view

Does anuyone have a way other than a keyboard shortcut or clicking on each folder as we open it, to ALWAYS view the folders in list view.
We are in OSX, but it is a PC server that we access, that seems to forget that WE want list view...
This is a very aggrivating thing with OSX - we never had and still don't have a problem if I go to our one last OS9 machine and view it, I think that it's a local setting, but I can't get it to stay that way.
Anyone else have this, or better yet a FIX for this?

I don't think there is a fix for this problem at this point. It is pretty friggin annoying, though.

Easy fix - log on to your PC server with Administrator credentials and go to the control panel. In the control panel go to the folder options icon and select the options you wish for the view of that individual folder or reset all folders on the server to the same view. You must be logged in as an Admin to make these changes or they will not appear to clients hitting the server.

Any other ideas

I thought that I had tried that, but I went and did it again just to be sure, but that doesn't seem to be working.

Anyone else have any clues...

DCurry - did you try it? - did it work for you - maybe it's something more with our setup...

Really hate it though!

If you are using Tiger you might be able to do it using Automator:

Set multiple folder views via Automator

Haven't tried it myself.

I just use the keyboard commands. COMMAND+Option+T turns the sidebar on and off and COMMAND+1 turns it into Icon view, COMMAND+2 turns it into List view, COMMAND+3 turns it into Column view.
