Well heres my answer:
Right now, if you just popped an Official Winders CD in, No.
In a few weeks when somebody writes a patch to make Windows EFI bootable, Yes, it is inevitablely necessary and cost savings to have a dual boot machine. Microsoft will also inevitably have to make Windows XP EFI compatible (Service Pack 3, anyone?). The motherboard manufactures will eventually completely shelve conventional bios. EFI is all about control, want a good read look up "Trusted Computing".
As we know all too well in prepress (With a bit of Kentucky slang), "IF IT AINT BROKE, DON'T FIX IT!"
Another note:
I was told just a few years ago that I would NEVER see Mac OS X run on x86 processors. Well I have sucessfully installed and have OS X running on this machine that i'm using! Rosetta works wonders for nearly every application i've tried to run.
