Iomega Jaz drive and disc

I need to get some art work off of an old 2gig jaz disc. We have the jaz drive and all the cables seem to be in working order, but I can't get any of the Mac's to see the discs. They don't mount on the desk top. I went to Omega's website and did everything it said, but still nothing.

Anyone have any ideas? I have a G5 mac running OSX 10.3.9 and a G4 running the same os.

The PC's saw the drive and disc, but want to reformat them.

Have you tried going into disk utilities and manually mounting the drive?

Did you try restarting your computer while the jazz and disk were still running? I've had this happen a few times and when I restart the icon would show up on my desktop. Clunky damn thing.

I have done all of the above and still nothing.

I have rebooted with the drive and disk, nothing...

rebooted with the drive, no disk...nothing

Disk Utilities doesn't see the disk and or drive at all

Downloaded the "latest" tools and drivers from Iomega...nothing

Don't suppose you have a machine you could try that would boot up in OS9 do ya?
Other option might be to find software for the PC that can recognize Mac formatted discs. I don't know the name of the software but I am aware of it's existance.

What interface does it have? If it's SCSI make sure it's terminated properly.

The jaz is both SCSI and USB. We don't have a machine up here that fits the SCSI.

I have a laptop at home that has classic on it. I am going to take the drive home tonight and see if the laptop will read it.

If not, I will start searching for the software. I have heard of that kind of software too, just don't remember what it is called, but the internet is a wonderful thing.

Thanks for all the help...
