I use Print Window. It's a pretty sweet little application which will print
your folder contents with drag and drop functionality and some cool
options. Just throw it in your side bar and BAM!

I assume this is what you want.

Hope it helps

I didn't know you could print a list like that in OSX. How are you doing it on the ones that "work"? What version of OS X (10.3.9 or 10.4)?
I've always had to use Printwindow or do a screen cap (cmd/shift/4) to get one.

there are 3 macs in my department that dropping a folder on a dektop printer will print the contents list. the other 3 machines get an error. The only difference between the macs it works on 2 of the 3 10.3.8 machines. 1 - 10.3.8 machine does not work, none of the 10,3,9 machines work. I fond it very strange

AH HA!
I would suspect it has to do with the desktop printers. How were they set up? Delete and re-create them to see if that doesn't fix it. Could be a driver problem, make sure they are all using the same print driver (you could copy from the one that works and place it in the one that doesn't).
What printer is it, by the way?
David

The HPs should work okay, you may have trouble with the Epson, but you never know. We have 2 HP 5000's and an Epson 9600 here (all large format, roll fed, which we have proofing operators that manage the queues so we don't really use them as a "window/directory" printers). Good luck, and let us know if it works.
