X-Serve and multiple ftp...possible?

Here's one for the ITs out there. We're considering going to a new x-server for our entire operation, DTP, estimating, job flow & tracking, etc. Our (new) owner wants to know if multiple ftp sites can be created on a single server. If so we're dialed in to the new X-server for the job.

Any thoughts?

Uh oh... Double posting isn't good!

Yes, you can setup virtual hosting for FTP also. There's all a number of open source FTP server package that will do this.

If you are going to do a lot of virtual hosting of web/email/ftp then you should look at using webmin to help make managing it easier.

we've got an x-serve at our shop, before this we had no ftp . . . the day after i installed the x-serve we had an ftp site! (ofcourse we had an extra IP address that was not being used) the x-serve w/ osx server is awesome - super user friendly and lots of cool features. have fun w/ it.
