Argh, some people tick me off. First of all, they shouldn't be talking about this stuff, which is under non-disclosure. I'm not so ticked off about that as I am about the fact that they have no clue what they're talking about.

"New in Font Book is the capability to test your fonts or validate them, as Apple calls it. The validation is thorough: gh: an Apple-included font that sits in the root Library was declared faulty by Font Book?s validator. However, the errors found weren?t reported by Font Doctor X. Still, Font Book insisted I?d re-install the font from disc. Perhaps the error or the faulty font itself were due to this still being a beta."

No, this isn't new. Font Validator has been around for quite some time:
http://developer.apple.com/fonts/Too...Validator.html Second of all, this is beta software you're describing, and isn't even fully functional yet! lol. Any developer, including myself, realized that in less than 5 minutes. I would never start comparing this to something like Font Doctor, since it's clear to me that the code isn't even close to being finished yet.
Some of the other information set forth is also inaccurate, and if I were you, I'd take what they have to say with a grain of salt.....
