My favorite day - Kentucky Derby day and
Maberry's favorite day - Cinco De Mayo.
I'm looking for some good Margarita recipies to serve at my Derby party.

Any recipies or links to recipies are appreciated. Thanks.
(I hope I make it til post time of the Derby)

I think Milagro Reposado is my favorite but is fer sippin. Get the Milagro with the blue bottle/label(Silver I think is what they call it.)
* Fill shaker with broken cubed ice
* Squeeze 2 fresh lime wedges into shaker
* Add 3 oz of Milagro.
* Add 1 1/4 oz. of Roses Lime Juice
* Add 1/2 oz. of Bols(sub with local brand if you'd like) Triple Sec
* Add a splash of Bols Orange Curacao
* Cover shaker & shake vigorously
* Rim glass with lime peel and salt(or sprinkle into drink), add fresh ice
* Strain mixture over ice
* Squeeze in 1 lime wedge(this extra lime can be left off)
* Enjoy
I'll be right there glued to the TV with ya.
Im sure Maberry's got a variation for you too.

I'm a margarita fiend, so here's my favorite recipe:
1 cup Tequila
1/4 cup Triple Sec
6 oz. (1/2 can) frozen Limeade - I use the generic cheap stuff
1/4 - 1/2 cup water
juice of 1 lemon (or you can use concentrated lemon juice)
I put everything but the ice into a shaker an shake vigorously, then pour over 4 ice cubes in a salted-rim glass. If it is too strong, adjust the water content, not the alcohol ratio. If you like them frozen, use about 2 cups of ice in a blender with all the ingredients.

My $0.02:
If you can get Contreau instead of TrippleSec = do it!
FYI: It's cheap down here next to Mexico, but I heard it is expensive elsewhere but good luck y'all.

Yea, up here in the Midwest, Contreau is about $30.00 a bottle, vs. $8.00 or so for Triple Sec (same size bottle).
If money was no object, I'd definately skip the Triple Sec.

Daaaang, that's too bad. Maybe I should start an Im-Ex-port business getting Contreau from Tijuana to Toronto! :lol:

I'm not a tekillya expert... but I've been turned on to some really, really good stuff - Patron. It's officially the only tekillya I'll drink again.
I used to think 1800 was the deal - WRONG.
This stuff is super smooth. You can't go wrong - and probably won't go back.
It aint cheap tho.. here's a link >

Do yourself a "flavor" and try it!
