Got Rush ticks for mid-June too. The other prep guy here is a huge Rush fan, and they weren't cheap but it should be a kick-ass show.
Oh, and somehow I won a pair to the Heaven & Hell Tour with Ronnie James Dio. 8)

I heard a rumor of a Zep tour w/JohnPaulJones and Jason Bonham.
Anyone else hear the rumor?

I heard that rumor too, but I haven't heard anything else.

Moody Blues in July at S.P.A.C. (Saratoga Springs, NY)
Bela Fleck w Chick Corea sometime this summer (don't know details it was a present).
Unfortunately Eric Clapton's "Crossroads Guitar Festival" in Illinois is the same weekend as Moody Blues in New York. I have the DVD from his first festival in Texas, and I'd give (almost) anything to be there in Illinois. 8O

i saw the aussypinkfloyd 2 nights ago in cambridge - their second night there as a cover band!
now i was never into floyd - me mate rang with a spare ticket and off we went
BLOODY AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!
they'd seen em several times and said they were the BEST ever - even commenting they thought the aussy boys sounded better than the originals......
so - these guys are a tribute band - touring all over the world - they have over a million pounds worth of lighting equipment, not to mention a sound system thats truly awesome.
the whole stage show is incredible, with this circular (looks just like the "gate " in stargate) set up showing videos/cgi animations etc, a massive laser set up and all manner of wierd stuff being projected onto the walls at the same time. superb entertainment, musicianship of the highest quality
for a tribute band - these guys are not playing at it - they are fantastic. they sound like floyd - especially the singer - and thats usually where tribute bands fall down.
i've seen a few bands but these guys take some beating.

That would certainly work, but I was thinking Bon Scott.
