I'm out in Buffalo NY at the end of May, weve got a few days to kill. Any suggestions of what to do apart from Niagra. 2 adults 3 young children so Bars are out of the question (shame).

if the Sabres are still alive, you could take up a Stanley Cup game. Hockey is exciting as hell for a family outing...

The Anchor Bar is the place were buffalo wings got their start. Very popular place. More of a resturant than a bar and the kids are welcomed.

In Niagara Falls, Canadian side, is a new waterpark - all indoor called Wolf Lodge. We looked and are going to Vegas instead. In NF , NY side there is a state park that is right on the edge of the gorge. Very neat and will be beautiful at that time.

How about a Wine Tour in the Niagara Ontario region. Sample winery products, a little boring for kids but it's YOUR holiday isn't it?

Visit Fort George in Niagara-on-the-lake for a history lesson.

Drive to Toronto (1.25 Hours) (actually anywhere BUT Buffalo IMHO) and we can meet up. Lots in TO. Hockey Hall of Fame, CN Tower - basically lots to do.

Is there anything good in Buffalo - I don't know as I never stopped there other than go to a concert. Lots of highways to get in and out fast.

Barry,

Its not my idea of a holiday, family wedding can't get out of it. If I had my choice I would go to Florida, or the Greek Islands. Look forward to trying some wings better than the crap we get over here.

A coworker of mine is from Buffalo and she does not like the city at all. She said on the weekends the city is dead. Also, the economy there is pretty poor. Many people have moved away.

Be careful when you order,some of them wings can be VERY VERY
spicey,make sure to ask how hot they are,for the kids sakes!
I would order the mildest for the kids.

I myself prefer the hottest or 2nd hottest on the menu.
Get that tongue numb........mmmmmmmmmm.

I have a couple of bottles at home that my coworker brought back from the Anchor Bar. What I have is called "Anchor Bar- Frank & Teresa's Original Anchor Bar Buffalo Wingsauce--Suicidal Recipe" Good and hot! :twisted:
