i also like to listen to old van halen. and i am sorry to see what has become of them. runnin with the devil, aint talkin bout love, unchained...ah....those were the good old days.
i really got into the punk/ska movement for awhile: goldfinger, hot stove jimmy, reel big fish, buck-0-nine, that sort of thing.
and let us not forget the silky stylings of janes addiction and love and rockets. those bands have high regard in my itunes library.
later cr
btw...best live show i ever saw: brian setzer orchestra at house of blues chicago in 98...if you havent heard a 20-piece big band in person, you dont know WHAT your missing. any other best shows ever to share folks?

how about this....does everyone here listen to what they want to everyday? does your company permit music or have a policy regarding that? we pretty much can listen to what we want as long as it isnt profane, and not too loud. usually just the radio, we have a few stations we listen to, and most of that is pretty mainstream. i think if i were to play what i want, i'd get a lot of funny looks...
just curious, thats all

yea, its just me here, so I listen to what I want as loud as I want. Especially when I need to drown out some salesfolk asking me some dumb question.
I try to be respectful to those whose offices are up here in the front with me, though..

We used to be allowed to listen to music at work, but a new bossman came in and says we can't concentrate with music.
(But he can drive and talk on a cell phone)

 typical. it sounds like a power trip to me. He just wants to feel in charge so he takes away the music. I would listen to whatever I wanted anyway, if I were you. If he's got a problem with it but cant PROOVE that production is down tell him to go fuck himself.
sorry, Ive dealt with this alot back in the restaurant biz and it just gets under my skin. There is absolutely NO REASON other than to control you. :x

i certainly like to have music while i work, but i have to admit, there are times when other people put in music that is a bit too loud, and i want to put my foot through the cd player. there isnt much music i dont like, but if it is too loud, it does piss me off. especially since im the one who is on the phone, and i have to keep turning it down.
i guess my thought is play whatever you want (within the boudaries of good taste), but keep it down.
