So, been using OS X for more that a couple of years, today I was looking at a customer folder and noticed that they seemed to be in the wrong order. I'm used to OS 9 where you need to put a "0" (zero) in front of the single digit numbers to make them show up in the file list in numerical order. OK so why are my folders in the order of "8" - "14" - "21"
instead of 14,21,8 ??? then it hit me,,

ops:

ops: the damn OS recognizes numbers in sets so it sees that "8" is smaller than "14" and puts it at the top of the list.
8) 8) 8) 8) I spent most of today taking the stupid 0 from in front of my customer files 8O felt like a stupid cat playing with a ball of string............
And I don't want to hear anyone say "I knew that, where you been under a rock??"
just my 2.5?
Just in case you're wondering, there are only two charecters you can use to put in front of a file or folder name to force it below the "Z" they are Option+M = ? which I believe is the null symbol. Option+P = ? (Pi) symbol, and Option+Z = ? omega symbol. Have fun
Note: the symbols don't display correctly in this text box
