Friday Trivia
"The name Friday comes from the Old English friged?g, meaning the day of Frige (or Frigga), the Norse god of beauty who was believed to be married to Odin. Frige replaced the Roman god of beauty, Venus, as the namesake of the fifth day of the week after the Anglo-Saxon invasions of Rome. This is why the word for Friday in French is Vendredi, and in Italian it is Venerdi, after Venus, while in Modern German it is Freitag."

stress (n.)
c.1303, "hardship, adversity, force, pressure," in part a shortening of M.Fr. destresse (see distress), in part from O.Fr. estrece "narrowness, oppression," from V.L. *strictia, from L. strictus "compressed," pp. of stringere "draw tight" (see strain (v.)). The purely psychological sense is attested from 1942.
stress (v.)
c.1303, "to subject (someone) to force or compulsion," from the source of stress (n.). The fig. meaning "put emphasis on" is first recorded 1896, from notion of laying pressure on something by relying on it.

"Friday" in spanish is "Viernes" and is relative to Venus (the planet), "Saturday" (S?bado) relative to Saturn, "Sunday" (Domingo) relative to Sun, "Monday" (Lunes) relative to the Moon, "Tuesday" (Martes) relative to Mars (Marte), "Wednesday" (Mi?rcoles) I don't know but "Thursday" (Jueves) relative to Jupiter. Also "Viernes" is the name of the little boy who joined to Robinson Crusoe.
"Be-Viernes" in english is "Drink-Friday". You know what I mean (weekend party)

10AM Conference Call
Manager #1: So, do you have a hurricane there?
Manager #2: There is no hurricane in Atlanta at this time. It's way over near the Yucatan.
Manager #1: Oh. So will you get any of it?
Manager #2: It's like a thousand miles away. It's a little too soon to tell how much it will affect us at this point.
Manager #3: I heard that Wilma is the last name they have on the list.
Manager #1: Ha, ha! What will they do if another one comes? Start over?
Manager #2: They will use Greek letters.
Manager #1: Ha, ha, ha!
Manager #2: That wasn't a joke.
Manager #1: Oh. Ha, ha! So, the next one will be like Hurricane
"XVII" and then Hurricane "XVIII"? Ha, ha!
Manager #2: No. Those are Roman numerals.
:? trivial managers....
