When was the last time 747's were crashed into American buildings?

More people died in ONE DAY on 9-11 than the entire Iraq war. If you think that fighting terrorists on THIER SOIL is doing no good, YOU need to wake up and smell the coffee.

It sucks that Americans are dying, and I wish it didn't have to happen. But I would rather have soldiers, trained for combat, fighting these scumbags than to have attack after attack in our country. If al quada had thier way, they'd be fighting innocent women and children on American soil - fighting their cowardly war on their terms.

As for the price of gas, you have the liberal tree hugger democrats to thank for blocking EVERY attempt to build more refineries, and drill more offshore and Alaska oil of our own. In case you are not aware, there is higher oil production now than there ever was before the Iraq war started - not just Iraq, but all of OPEC. The worldwide demand has skyrocketed causing the high prices that we HAVE TO PAY because the environmentalists have screwed us out of having our own oil for the last 30 years.

There's a lot of negative anti-war hippie sentiment going around, but I would challenge you to NOT believe the hype. That peace, love and flower power crap isn't going to make terrorists feel any love toward us.

I think the terrorists we capture should be forced to do prepress work as punishment. That would probably violate the Geneva Convention or something though - cruel and unsual...

I find it ironic how we are in a war in 2 countries that have no value
whatsoever except for their proximity to the worlds oil supply. Would
we be there if Iraq's major export was brocoli? Would we be in Afganistan
if the Russians had a major seaport to export oil from? Politics aside,
these are questions that our political leaders should be able to give us
straight answer on.

The second irony is how much the price of gas has risen during the term of
our president who's roots are firmly in the oil industry, as are many of
his cabinet members.

The war on gas is over... Gas has won

If Iraq's major export was brocoli, then the reign of Saddam would probably not have had the ability or resources available to them to build chemical weapons (which they did use against Iraqi citizins) and the notion to start a nuclear program. There was a real treat of their weapons falling into the hands of terrorists. And that is a threat against US. To beleive that they really did abandon their wepons of mass destrution is a joke in itself. God bless America!!!!!

This is true. Albeit WE gave plenty to work with, to the terrorists when we helped the afgans back in the 80's against the russians. The nuclear wmd's are already in the wrong hands, it is just a matter of time and place as to when it gets here(america). We really need to tighten borders in the coming months and years. There is an article about the import of BC buds into the US from Canada in this months Playboy and it really drives home how wide open many of the border areas are. Some of the nukes may even already be here in yer nieghbors basement....

but do we really need to live in fear?, or does that just mean they(terrorists & our BIG BROTHER) have won.

Don't kid youself...remember George senior?

"I do not like broccoli. And I haven't liked it since I was a little kid and my mother made me eat it. And I'm President of the United States and I'm not going to eat any more broccoli. "

The real question is would we all have been onboard for the Iraq war if the intelligence had been accurate, rather than faulty (fudged, sexed-up, whatever).

Only if you're counting coalition casualties.
