Any suggestions for severe weather alert software?

Just wondering where I could find a preferably free service.

The summer can throw some serious lightning upon the urban areas in Floorda.

Thanks

We use Weatherbug on a few of the PC's here, but I think any of those things are adware conduits.

I'd look and see what the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Agency (NOAA) might have that you could use...

Our local TV & Radio stations here haVE email services that will alert you when severe weather warnings are issued. I get warnings before the radio stations broadcast them. Of course, if you don't have email on the particular workstation, that doesn't work too well...
