Hi:

The prepress robot keeps nagging to introduce myself by "saying hello to our community in our introductions forum."

But I can't find the introductions forum. So. Hello. Here.

My name is DJ. I've been in prepress for about 16 years. My first job involved waxing paper and an exactor knife and working nights. My last job where I worked for the man was back in 2004 when I was a project manager in the product development group at Creo. Just before Kodak bought out Creo, I became an ex-project manager.

I have been working free-lance ever since with ups and downs, but overall doing pretty okay. The tax structure in Canada makes it very attractive to incorporate yourself and work as a corporation, not as a person.

I have 3 clients, one of which has a Lotem Quantum and a Prinergy system. His address is www.printcraft-solutions.com. The owner is a nice guy so life is pretty good. I have another client who is toxic but I bill him outrageously. .

I am trying to maintain a web site where I keep notes: www.prepresspilgrim.com. You are welcome to visit and marvel at my knowledge & wisdom. Or just laugh.
