How does Prinergy relate to Rampage?

Just curious what the learning curve is on Prinergy for someone coming off a Rampage workflow. Anyone out there did the switch?

I can't answer this with 1st hand experience, but a company that I was
once employed with (Quebecor World) was using Rampage and made the switch to Prinergy
Some of my X-Coworkers from there have told me that the switch was fairly quick and easy, I don't know but this is what I recieved from my Friends. :?

Well.......

Worked with Rampage for 5 years and having to manage a Prinergy/Creo-centric workflow.

Not much of a learning curve really. At least I didn't think so. A few days or so and you'll pick it right up. My wife is an operator and didn't have any trouble either. Its not that difficult to understand at all.

Personally, I do not like Prinergy for the following reasons:
- Rampage as a whole is more inuitive, user friendly, and is slightly more streamlined than Prinergy.
- Rampage trapping is better.
- Editing/trapping PDFs is arduous and just plain sucks.
- Closed system. Rampage is open ended and can work with any number of device/server/software configs. With Prinergy, your at the mercy of Creo for everything.
- The list goes on.......

One nice thing about Prinergy though, is that it's got the Oracle database under the hood. Rampage should consider this for the Pagelist instead of a flat file.

My 2 cents anyway.
