new to prinergy workflow

We havent gotten it get but we are changing from Nexus to Prinergy. Can u get trapped pdf's out of prinergy and how easy is it? We will be needing Hi Res print ready trapped pdf's, sometimes hexachrome. Please advise.

sure man, it creates "subages" which are the final trapped pdf files. They are located in Job folder/system/subpages.

You can also set up a device like a proofer which lets you create various pdf formats from the processed files. there is an option to remove traps from those files so keep an eye on that.

sorry I havent dabbled with hexachrome

Prinergy is very high end, and very flexible. I haven't done any hexachrome, but it is easy to create your own colours. Yes, you can view your traps and adjust them in Acrobat using the prinergy acrobat plugins. Exporting high res pdfs is no problem at all, with or without traps. It really is one of the only true pdf workflows, pdf from start to finish (but you can also refine ps and .eps).
