Yeah, I appreciate the help (been there....), But if I can suck it into Illustrator, I can trap it.

Thanks though.
So far, that's my Lead.. EVO just doesn't make any sense to me (I mean prinergy as a whole, not just the stripped down POS version), and frankly, I've never been impressed w/ that RIP. The nail in the coffin was the costs at 5-years out (not counting major version upgrades)... $12K more to own that box than the Rampage.
... And a lot of it too, is the work here, both what it is, and how it comes in? I know the boys at Rampage from years past, they haven't changed, and they're good people. Kodak/Creo's gotten to be too much of a money/politics game (even for a monkey looking for support), frankly, I don't care how good they all think they are. They aren't all that good, I've shown more than one of them how to do their job (the bumpkins in the field, and back at Burnaby), and it's the BS that goes along w/ everything, that... I just don't have the time to deal w/. In my past life, my job was dealing w/ that BS, because the operator's were too busy cranking out the files. I'm wearing all the hats now, and just want a RIP that works. That's something I always liked about Rampage back when I had it (v.6 --> 8 ). Sure, we had issue's (doesn't trap PMS's well - luminosity never did well there), but that was a packaging shop. I'm commercial now, and just need something to chew through the pages while I'm futzing w/ the next job. More importantly, how the vendor handles those issue's, is what matters to me. The folks at Rampage understand printing - I've gotten same-day bug fixes several times from them. You can't beat that with a stick. Even a really big one.
