Preps shut down 3-5 times daily
HI y'all
I'm running Preps 5.1.5 on a G5 with OSX 10.3.9. 1.8ghz
Running 1.25 gigs of ram (I can add more).
Preps shuts down at least 5 times a day, mostly when I'm working on templates.
Files are on a giggy network with an NT Server.
Anybody else and any fix? The only other thing running is Suitcase Fusion.
Thanks!
Rick

I have a similar problem. For me, Preps crashes when I am adding marks, after the layout has been set up. Unfortunately, I haven't come up with a better solution than saving before adding the marks just in case.

I've experienced the same problems when adding marks to my templates. Are you applying the marks to the front and back at the same time? I've noticed when preps is crashing lots on me, if I apply the mark to one side at a time, I can usually finish my template without it going on me. Results are sporratic though, and it does take more time to do it this way, but worth a shot none the less. good luck & save often.

Same problem here and almost all my templates are Flat Work so I don't have the front and back solution but I've just got used to frequent saves. I am also running Fusion but had the same problem when running X1

Are you zoomed in when it crashes? I found it would crash if I was zoomed in. But zoomed out it's fine.

Well, I realize that Preps has gone through a few company name changes in the past year, but I would think that when you plunk down a few grand, they'd be there to fix this problem? Just my HUMBLE opinion.
Anybody at Kodak listening? This doesn't sound like a remote problem. Or do we just get used to OSX crashing because that's what it does?

Sad, but true.
Just get used to it.
They've been saying it will get fixed in next revision, but we're gone through many and it still crashes.
Avoid zooming in and save often.
Next time buy another product.
