preps error message

We are using preps 4.2 and we export pjtf's. There are two error messages we get now but not consistently. The first one is when we try to preview right before we export the pjtf. It reads, "Cannot access printer: Generic PostScript Printer", and then preps crashes. We seem to be ok most of the time as long as we don't preview them first. (very inconvenient)

The second message comes after we tell it to export the pjtf. The existing file "Macintosh HD:Applications:Preps4.2rinters:generic:log.txt" could not be replaced. It may be locked or in use. The output has been saved to the file:"Macintosh HDrivate:var:tmp:folders.501:TemporaryItems:Prep sTemp:10491800prp:.[i]

It still creates the pjtf even when we get this error message but we would like to know what the problem is.

Has anyone experienced this before?

Catharine

I have seen the first one when preps can't find its folders. I haven't seen the second error, but I may not have the same configuration. I also export pjtf's.

It sounds like both of these problems could be some sort of network connection error. The don't preview first workaround is probably just bypassing something that is causing the problem.
