White type from Quark or Illus converts to CT

Hello all you Old School Brisque users

I'm runng a Brisque Impose ver 4 with quark 6.1. Every once and awhile white
type goes to the ct layer when ripping at the Brisque. I need to use Vig to ct on some jobs. I know the work arounds.
I'm starting to believe it's Quark and not the Brisque. Does anyone have a clue what makes this happen?

P.S. The white isn't anywhere near a vig. either

I've seen this issue with InDesign files, but not Quark ones. My solution has been to turn on PostScript Overprint and that seems to remedy the problem. Also, make sure the white type is set to Knockout in Quark.
