HELP- RIPPED JOBS GONE

Our Brisque 3 locked up and now all of our files are gone. Or at least we can't see them. The drive is full, which could have led to the problem. But, is there a way to get them back or- worst case- clean the HD and start fresh. This happened a few years back, but I can't remember what we did.

You will need to run fsck -y on that volume!

Well, that worked- for a day. Now we can't do anything. The files appear and disappear. Hot folders come and go. It's not pretty and we're at a loss of what to do next.

There is something wrong with your Volume. You will need to run fsck - y again.
Also you will need to delete the db file. You should call Creo/Kodak, You might have a bad drive !

I have a call in to them... usually they call right back, but they are not now. How do I delete the db?

What is happening is that we cannot transfer files to hot folders and if we look a the volume from our Macs- it shows up for a second and then disappears.

There is an O9 app that for this! If you never ran it then your in trouble!
You should rebuild the database every week and do an fsck every week.

Mount your Brisque at root -> there should be an app caled Ethershare Applications-> use the software called Ethershare admin.

Then using that app you need to rebuild the dataVolumes. Do this after you did an fsck -y. Keep doing the fsck until it comes up clean.

Honestly, it was a task I left to one of my employees who is unavailable right now. I asked him if he was doing it regularly and he says yes for the fsck, but not the database. In his defense, no one ever told him to and I have reviewed the maint schedule from Creo and it isn't there...

Thanks for the help, will see how far I can get now.
