Plates not in register

Before I call the Creo techies, I wanted to post this and see if anyone had this same issue.

The other day we made 4 plates and 2 of them (Yelo and Black, the last 2 plates made) were a good .125" off to the left.

Remade the plates and they were closer and the press could move them in the correct postion, but today it has happened again.

The Black is moving to the left too far. When they hang them on the press, the black isn't even close to the same position as the others.

We have eliminated the fact that it is a Preps issue, I don't think it's a Brisque issue but I seem to believe that it is a Trendsetter issue because it is sporadic and not happening on any proofs or anything else we output.

We have shutdown and rebooted all devices, reset the boards on the Trendsetter, FSCK, anything we could think of to try and eliminate the issues.

Its possible the sensors aren't picking up the edge of the plates properly in the trendsetter. I am pretty sure we have had the same problem from time to time. Sounds like you need to get a service tech to come and clean the sensors.

We cleaned the sensors, made a few new plates and it seemed a little better.

Then after a few plates were made before quitting time it seemed to fix it.

It just seemed weird that only the last couple of plates were the offending plates. It didn't matter if we plated the Black plate first or last, it was off center.

My company doesn't have the service package with Creo so I only call them when absolutely necessary.
I've been dealing with Creo regarding a good pricing structure for their maintenance and hope to have a deal signed with them in the next couple of weeks and if we do use their maintenance package then I'll hopefully get any issues with the Trendsetter resolved.

Thanks for sharing the info dude.
