Preview, Seps, and Preps

I searched and couldn't find any related threads on this issue so here goes. Workflow starts on the desktop (OS9, X, and NT), RIPed through Nexus, links ending up in Preps on a PC for impo. Problem is that when we go to color separated previews, we come up with a blank screen. All is right as a composite preview. I just did a Preps install on my (Mac) workstation and have the same issue. Any work arounds or solutions to this problem. The files separate fine on the CTP.

I'm assuming you are creating raster links from Nexus. Have you checked your Nexus settings for creating the preview of the EPS link file? We're currently using Nexus and Presswise and we have our Nexus set to NOT create previews for the raster since Presswise doesn't do previews. We are switching to Preps a week from Monday so this could be an issue for me also. Since it looks okay as a composite I'd say it's probably a Nexus issue only creating a composite preview. I've played around with the settings before in Nexus and one thing I've found is that you get better results if you set the preview to "Windows" instead of "Macintosh".

Its a preps problem. If the original file thst was placed in preps is a composite ,preps internal rip can't then separate the file. You would have to place a separated ps file into preps to be able to preview the other colors.
