Our shop currently runs Prinergy Workflow that drives a news trendsetter. We also have staccato, Iris43Wide and eversmart scanner.

Brisque to Dolev 800v. We're currently looking at CTP.
Any Brisque rumors to add?

I'm in a full Scitex/Creo shop. We got 4 Brisques, 2 Ripro Server (1 terabyte of storage), Scitex Eversmart, Lotem, Dolev, Iris, Iris43Wide, Improof. The only non-scitex stuff is a Kodak XP4 and a Crosfield Drum. We go about 98% CTP, a little film for flexo work.

We are adding Creo Pandora for packaging and Synapse InSite for job submission, tracking and On-line Approval.

We use a ROOM (Rip once output many) we call it 1-up workflow. We rip everything as a single page to a Brisque .Job folder. That .Job is used to make the Proof, then that same .Job is imposed, improofed (Bluelined), and plated. Our Clients never see a Blueline, just the 1-up Proof they side off on. We take ownership of the impose and the like. It's a really slick system. We have about a .5% error rate.

Running brisque to dolev 4 press and an Iris proofer. Going to graphexpo this month to get a different proofer and check ctp systems. But definitely will keep brisque.

We are currently looking at getting our sister company's Scitex Brisque system and Dolev 800V image setter with in-line rip as well as their Iris proofing system. They are running Version 3.1 and I am curious as to what the cost would be to upgrade to 4.1 without having the pressures of sales knocking on my door. Does anyone know what they paid to upgrade?
