Color Limit

Is the 46 something thousand color limit something defined in TIFF/IT or Brisque?

We're creating TIFF/IT files from our RAMpage and sending them to a shop with a Brisque system. There are a few pages they cannot process as imposed flats because of the 46,000 color limit, they are figuring it's blends on these pages.

I need to figure out if the problem extends from our TIFF/IT files or a limitation on the Brisque.

Yes, there was a limit. But I believe that version 4 of the brisque software removed that for CT/LW. They may need to translate the TIFF/IT to CT/LW instead of just running the TIFF/IT. They may have a problem if they are running Brisque software less than 4. We don't run many TIFF/ITs so I can't be 100% certain. One solution is the following.

1. Translate the TIFF/IT to a Brisque CT/LW .job file.
2. They can then compress the number of colors and run it out.

A Second solution is to send them Pre-Separated TIFF/ITs

Hope this helps.
