Brisque puts barcode on CT - Quark 7

Good morning all,

I have an issue with the Brisque 4.1 and quark. I know..an issue with quark and ripping! What a surprise! Anyways, on with my issue.

Here it is:
Quark 7 with an 1-bit tiff bitmap file.
The brisque version is 4.1
The brisque will put the file on the CT
This is a 1 Color job and I want the 1-bit tiff to print on the LW with the type because the tiff is a barcode.
I should not have a ct file on this job at all!
Tried saving the image of the barcode as a .bmp,.eps and tiff formats
Made my PS sent to the brisque and it put it on a ct
Also tried outputting by PS out of quark as CMYK and Grayscale. Barcode also goes to the ct.

Anyone have an issue like this before?

Is the barcode sitting on top of a CT in Quark? Is there any transparency effect applied to it?

No transparency is used at all and no ct is in quark. I'm trying to output the quark document as a postscript file to send the the brisque.

My goal is to have the brisque have the barcode on the LW. Not CT file is need to this files because it should all be linework.

I'd be happy to take a crack at the files and see if my Brisque 4 does the same thing or not.

Thanks for the offer. However we found he problem thanks to the forums.The picture box on Quark 7 had a "Picture Background Color" of white. You can find this button on the colors pallatte. The brisque will apperatllly put anything with a pictue background color on the ct file.

This function is new to Quark 7, Quark 6 does not have this box. I wish quark 7 did not have it eaither.

just to clarify. Set the "Picture background Box to "none" instead of "white"
