Go with the 10600, Epson has resolved a number of issues that the 10000 had. Price - in the states, can be between 7 -8,000 new. You will have to decide what type of ink you wish to go with as once you go with the Photo Dye or the Ultrachrome there is no switching. Not knowing what rip you intend to use with this I will give you this caution...... there is a banding problem with this printer. Epson knows about this and has configured their driver to mask it. So unless you are using their driver this may become an issue with the unit. I've had a few of these printers and also spoke with other firms that came across the identical problem. Epson techs couldn't resolve the problem either. Interested in a 5500 in "brand new" condition?
