Installing InDesignCS3 on Windows XP issue...

Where do I start with this one...

Boss went out and purchased the entire Creative Suite 3 for our PC last weekend, and this is the first time I have installed it on a PC.

I loaded the install disk and everything went well, activation was successful, etc.
until I double-clicked the application icon to launch InDesignCS3, The start-up window appeared and right around the time it says it's loading "Calling Late Initializers", the window just disappears and then...nothing. No messages, no errors, the application just doesn't open. It does the exact same thing when I try to open up PhotoshopCS3 & IllustratorCS3.

This is on a Sony Vaio that is running WindowsXP with Service Pack 2
Pentium (R) 4 CPU 2.80GHz-2.90GHz
2.00 GB of Ram

Drive 1 is 13.9 GB hard drive with 2.84 GB of free space after installation
Drive 2 is 92.8 GB hard drive with 84.9 GB of free space. (this is the drive I installed CS3 on.)

I'm pretty sure I've got enough space, I'm just wondering if anybody else has run into this situation before. Help!

Hi PaulK,
Its always a good idea to install all the Application Softwares in the the C: Drive(Drive 1 in your case) .( Or the Drive/ partition in which your Operating System is Loaded)
I am sure that your WINDOWS XP Operating System Is installed here.
The best thing I would do is
  1. Make some free space by moving the files from your drive 1 to drive 2.
  2. Uninstall the CS3 from Drive 2
  3. Install the CS3 in the Drive 1.
I am sure it will work fine.

Good Luck
Cheers !!
