CS2 Print/PDF issue

I've got a few blokes in remote location (so I can't really test the issue) who just upgraded to intel macs but are still using CS2 (holding off on CS3...mostly... until our asset management software can catch up) but they are unable to print or create a PDF (straight from ID) without crashing. Of course, this is becoming a major hinderance because of some deadlines coming up. I've never had a chance to touch an intel machine so I can't really think of what could be causing this. All I can say is that they might need to trash their plists. Anyone else have any ideas about what could cause this or how to fix it?

Thanks,
Soilworker

I'm not sure if Apple's fixed it yet, but the Quicktime update (7.2) supposedly
conflicted with Rosetta. I ran CS2 a few days while I waited for CS3 to arrive, but
never had that problem. I thought it ran slowly On the Mac Pro,
but didn't see anything like what you're describing.

I'd still make a postscript file and send it through distiller before sending a .pdf. It just seems to be more reliable.

i dont usually condone the ps and distilling route but it looks like this is your fix for now

i'd have a good rummage on the mac - do maintenance on it, check fonts, plists, prefs, the whole shooting match, and see where that takes you - permissions repair as usual as well

best of luck with transparency via distiller!

is there any hint where it crashes?
