Saving, Placing, Exporting. Setting?

I was wondering if there was an option to set so that Indesign CS2 remembers the folder I've saved the Indesign file is where I want to start looking to place and export files instead of it remembering the last place I saved and the last place I exported a document like Illustrator does? Does that make sense?
thanks

Dude, you need Default Folder X. It allows you to click on any open Finder window to open ofrom or save to that location. Also lets you assign custom keyboard shortcuts to your favorite destinations.

Freakin' awesome little utility, and worth every penny to increase productivity:

Access Folders - Windows File Dialog Utility

Direct Folders 3.2

I prefer the 2nd one.
