CS3 Bugs?

Not sure how many are using Indy CS3 yet, but I am curious what bugs people have been running across?

So far, the only one I have found is that AI 8 EPS files are crashing Indy here. I have to save them as at least CS EPS files before the problems go away.

Preview Format: TIFF
Embed fonts, PS level 2, include thumbnails etc.

I had the Tools freeze in Indy a few times other than that no issues, but I'm not using it in a production workflow yet either. Once a few updates come out and I start receiving customer files I'll put it to work.

I don't have CS3 yet but a customer of mine does and tonight I'm getting a batch of brand spanking new InDesign CS3 PDFs that I'm sure, given the fact it's a Friday night with tight press deadlines, that it will bite me in the a$$. (test files worked great though, don't they always?)

Here's one......
Illy CS3 & INDD CS3.

AI file w/ 4 layers & 4 spot colors. One of the spots is a Die Line for cutting.
I edited the actual CMYK make up of the spot to get it to 100% cyan, and no matter what I do when I update the link in INDD CS3 the old color for the Die Line is coming in. I quit & restarted the app & the computer. No avail.....
I copied & pasted into a new document, amongst other things.. nothing I've tried has fixed it.
Even when I make a PDF of the INDD doc the old color is still coming in!
Fun stuff!
Vee

EDIT: I posted another issue here> http://www.prepressforums.com/ftopic...derasc-15.html

sorry you guys are having problems and i'll be of no help

i've been told i cant buy an intel mac so i'm watching to see how cs3 does on g5's etc

if it proves too crappy on a g5 (or a g4 even - as we are running one as well) then maybe i'll have to go to a new intel mac

sadly - i'll be making this judgement partly on your misfortunes - sorry :?

we finally got five copies of CS3 in,
went to install on one G5 Mac, found out you have to have at least a gig of ram to install...
oh well, order more ram,

went to another Mac, found out that in addition to the gig of ram, you have to be running OS 10.4.

crap, now I need to reinstall the OS, then of course update all the other stuff that goes with it.

guess I didn't do my homework before someone told me to get the stuff.

ops:

I just don't remember seeing anywhere that you had to have that much ram and a specific OS.

gotta love it, Adobe must have a piece of the other pies...
