I'm sure that Webber carb is environmentally friendly so I thought you may need to pretty it up a bit!

Unless you have it mounted on one of them new hybrids!

The Webber is actually banned for street use (I'm in California, 'nuf said)
And I'll consider the HelloKitty tailpipe since I can't find the Strawberryshortcake one I really wanted!

Nice dad memory BTW, I used to race dirt bikes w/ my dad and all the wrenching in the garage that goes with... good times.... good times. 8)

Transparency/Blend mode

Hi All,
Has anyone experience printing issues when type is setup using one of the transparency/blend mode? So far, I'm seeing drop shadows not printing correctly. Printouts are showing a faint tint of black around the entire text box. It's not noticeable under bad room lighting or on white background.

That said, it does become pretty obvious when the effect is on a color background. The same problem applies to drop shadow objects as well. I tried printing the page in varies formats, ranging from InDesign CS2 or in CS3 to PDF? All looked fine on screen but when printed it's a different story.

Any suggestions? Thank you.

We have actually had a weird case of an Old Pagemaker file that was converted to Indesign 2, then to CS1, then to CS2, and finally to CS3. Over a period of years of course. Just to make a few corrections etc.
When opened in CS3, made changes and saved, made PDF/EPS for Ripping, and then closed. Had another correction to make, tried to open up file, and nothing... just sits there twirling!
Force quit, and when relaunched, it opens the file and says that it needed repairs...
I sent it in to Anne Marie Concepcione of InDesign Secrets, she was looking for some problem jobs, but I haven't heard back on it yet.
End result for job was to keep it in CS2!
File was on tight schedule, and very large also.

When printing multiple copies of a document, IDCS3 sends the data multiple time to our printer! (ie a single JPG requiring 100 copies sends the image 100 time to our printer!)

The only workaround I've found is to make IDCS3 run thru Rosetta (Quit CS3, Get Info on the App and check the Run Thru Rosetta box).

Anyone else experiencing this?

CS3 Process Black Woes

We have been experiencing grayscale pages/elements separating when sent to neg. Any other process black, corrupt separation or other oddities out there?

We have a convoluted process that includes InDesign CS2 & CS3, Quark 4 & 6.5, RIPs to Neg, RIPs DTP amongst other custom scenarios. We feel, to date, that the inclusion of various layout sources is the culprit. Quark 4 is useless in dealing with color profiles. Quark 6.5 has it's own issues. Give me a holler!
