Registration marks

Can anyone tell me how to choose "registration color" for hand placed crop marks in Indy cs2? Can't seem to locate "registration. It's a 4/c spot pms job so choosing 100% of cmyk aint going to cut it, needs to be registration. Thanks!

I have it in my swatch pallette. Couldn't get rid of it if I wanted to. If you don't have it you have a problem.

I'm an idiot Cory. I was staring blankly at my color sliders wandering where the registration is. As soon as you said swatch, a light went off in my head.
Thanks.

Despair not, jimking. Some others have perused the reminder, [whistles quietly and casts eyes over ceiling]. I've already proven that PPF is an embarrassment-free zone...you're too late

I still wanna know how the hell you can modify the default registration bullets in InDesign without being a frikken programmer or spending money. haha

Our pressmen hate them. Carry too much ink. I can't believe that such an awesome program would not let you choose a bare bones registration mark (like quark), i mean who do they thing they are to give us this strange bullet..........

Maybe CS3?

hope so....

could you not use their regs marks but create your own as a symbol - then just drag it off and position as needed?

probably not - just a thought.

we do here - we have several elements in our own symbol libraries for marking up plates from colour bars to custom text etc etc - it works superbly - and its simple - but i'm sure you've covered that

If the job's not too big, as in multi-page doc., more like, say a 12 up DL impo...whatever, you can use "Print Tools". It's an Indy tool set, which you can have as a library palette. It's a free downloadable from the Adobe website; do a search within Adobe Studio, from memory.
Not at work till Mon now, but not sure where you store it. Mine comes up with the other palettes I want when Indy opens. Pretty quick once you're used to it.
When I've finished I save the whole thing as an Indy template for reuse, (.indt). You can choose to delete the old linked files now or later. Bung the Template in a folder with a recognisable name for re-use.

I've used the old manual create your own bullets and leave the reg marks on output on many jobs but it's always a pain in the butt.....

Like I said before..;why do you think it's so hard for adobe to have a choice in registration marks for users when you know everyone does things differently??
