Alpha Channels and Spot Channels in InDesign

Has anyone had any problems with .tifs that have spot channels and make use of alpha channels for clipping paths within InDesign?

I have a file and all of the graphics are grayscale tifs with spot color (basically a Duotone without being a in Duotone mode), also alot of them have alpha channels which are used for clipping paths in InDesign. Should this be fine?

I'm still an InDesign rookie, so I'm use to DCS files and Pen tool paths within Quark.

Thanks in advance.

I use .PSD for just about everything with Indesign and i never have had any problems like that. I have a regular jobs that i make grayscale and add a spot channel to and the place into indesign. Just make sure that you color channel is set for spot solor and not selection and save as a .PSD or TIFF and you should be golden.
