Multiple page PDF import

I want to place a 136 page PDF. But I would like to choose tell InDesign to place and then automatically import all the pages at once. Creating new pages as it needs to. Similar to the way the data merge feature works. Can this be done? I dont want to have to place 136 pages individually.

Some where in the Adobe Studio Exchange area of Adobe.com there's
a package of scripts, and one of them is Place Multipage PDF. It will do
what you want as long as all the pages are the same size. Make a new
InDesign document with one page, run the script and navigate to your
file. Bam! Mac or PC versions are on the same page (that I wish I had
time to find  )

yeah, a script you will need, they are really powerful things to learn, i have a lot of stuff set up with scripts, I made a lot using visual basic on pc, repetitive typesetting tasks I have made a simple app that reads an excel file and fills out business cards in and indesign document. Anyway, you can download the scripting guide free from adobe's site, print that out, have a good read and the possibilties are endless.

On the mac you use applescript I think, Ive never used applescript but it looks piss easy, on PC its visual basic or vbscript, just as easy, well worth the effort i reckon.
