INdesign imposition layouts

My company prints a lot of business cards. Right now we are using Indesign templates and dropping customer supplied files manually into the template. This is taking too much time and effort.

We need to be able to drop PDF and EPS files into a hot folder, and have the plugin automatically place them. It would also be helpful to be able to group jobs by stock and ink color for our spot color work.

What experiences do people in this forum have regarding imposition plugins for Indesign? Pros and cons of each would be appreciated.

Thanks.
Chris

You might want to check out the Adobe Studio Exchange. There’s some really good stuff in there and most of it is free.

I found one that I was able to modify to suit our workflow. If you’re familiar with AppleScript this might be an option for you too.
