Links palette

I received a client file with several images placed on the pages. In my Links palette only one of the images was listed (and was missing, of course). The other images didn't appear as links - whether missing, embedded, whatever.

Has anyone seen this before?

I asked the client about this, and he said he "got them from Google".

The client asked me to adjust contrast on the images, so I just exported all the graphics out and opened them in Photoshop.

That's what he did, cut and paste. Had a file the other day, same thing, some low res missing garbage.
