Does anyone know an update to InDesign CS that can open InDesign CS2 files. I am having trouble opening CS2 files since we only have CS.

Thanks for those who can help. [/url]

you need to export the CS2 file as a indesign excahange file...

no way of opening the CS2 file in CS without exporting it first.

one last thing to do to your copy of CS -

under the Help menu, pick "Updates..." and make sure you have the "CS2 compatibility upgrade" installed -

CS won't open the InDesign Exhange files without this upgrade.

That's what they're saying, be sure your copy of CS is Updated. Then, have the CS2 person create a CS Interchange version of the file, it should have an INX extension. Open that with your copy of CS1.

Voila!

Man, are you reading the suggestions at all?? They CAN save them back for you, all you have to do is ask the client to follow the instructions above! And make sure your CS is updated. I can't explain it any simpler, I'm sorry. :?

Wow, it's like the answers are invisible. Why ask the question if you aren't going to listen to the answers?
