list fonts

Is there any way to get Indy CS2 to list the most recently used fonts so that I don't have to scroll through (our now very large list of) fonts.
I know about styles etc. but this isn't what I am looking for.

No, in other programmes the fonts list remembers the last 4 recently used fonts and lists them which allows you to quickly select a font. Only Indy seems not to have this feature which is a pain in the rear end

If you used character styles this wouldn't be an issue. But I do agree the font list is a PITA and not just in Indesign. A Type Reunion app for OSX would be helpful.

Can I add one wee thing. Indy is in danger of becoming too basic in todays range of software. Other packages are offering much more at a fraction of the price. Check out Serif Pageplus 11, use it and come back and tell me that Indy can compete! Shame as I've been with Adobe since day one.

And oh if I'd to list all my kit and presses and stuff we'd need a new forum.
Not one to try and impress I'm afraid

Heh, Publisher supports transparency, but doesn't mean it's good transparency.

Never mentioned punisher 'publisher' or whatever you call it. It's crap and is an office programme and part of office 2000 and whatever.
As for effects such as transparency, Indy offers only 2 choices i.e linear and radial while other progs offer much more choices with exactly the same quality of output. We use Indy mainly for the same reason as everyone else on this forum and that is because we've always used it, Adobe anyway.
I'll use ANY software that gets the job done to my customers high expectations and don't feel obligated to using just one.

Nope not Beta-ing. Is that meant to be English? Bet I spend a hell of a lot longer over the course of a week with all of CS2 than you do.
