Everything that is grayscale or 100% black is turning Registration Black. When I get their ads I pull them into InDesign, (which I have Indesign 2.0) print them to a file with output as seperations, distill the ad and open it into Acrobat. It shows that the ad has seperated right, but when the same ad is pulled into Indesign CS2 and sent to our Rip this is where the problem begins.

I'm getting confused here... are you using ID 2 or CS2?
Or... are you using ID2 just for testing and you really use CS2 for all your output?

Do you have color management turned on in CS2?
If you can, could you post one of the smaller pdf files and I'll take a look at it with Pitstop.

If it's too big, PM me with your email address and I'll send you an email with my FTP info.

Ok Im sorry for the confusion. I am using ID2 another graphic designer is using ID 3 and or prepress has ID CS2. I have pulled the pdf into id 2 and id3, printed as a ps and distilled and it has seperated just fine. I have also pulled the pdf into Quark and sent to the rip and it sends just fine. When sending the pdf to the rip and to ps from ID CS2 it doesn't seperated right at all. Text and other graphics are turning into Registration black. We use CS2 for output of special sections that are paginated outside our building. All other publications are paginated in Quark.

okay, I've gotten your pdf files into CS2. I can't seem to replicate your problem. I have made 3 files, 2 pdf exports (different cm on each) and one .ps, all of these RIP/view fine. All the black comes out as 100 black (no cmy).

It has to be in the ID app itself, or the export settings that you guys are using, or it's your RIP. ID CS2 is fairly new, so your RIP may not be able to handle it.
Try saving the CS2 file back to a CS file and PDF out from that and see what you get (you'll have to export to Indesign Interchange, then open up the .inx file in CS).

Does Color Mangament have to be totally off or can I change some settings in Color Mangament? We tested several settings in the Color Management but it didn't seperate right. Have you ever had this problem before?

If you're not sure about color management, it should be off.
