When people open up a old document the image links are broken. The relink pallete doesnt fix the links. The user has to manually relink all the images. This doesn't happen all the time, but enough to make it a pain in the ass for some people. We are running ID CS in 10.3 and 10.4.

I've found the best work around for this is to place a copy of the InDesign file into the same folder where the images/links are.

Open up that InDesign file, all the links should be fine, then save out the InDesign file to where you need it to be and all the links are still kept.

I have also had some issues when opening up a CS1 file in CS2 and it breaks the links. If I open up the same CS1 file in CS1 then it retains the links.

I think i figured it out... i didnt have versioncue installed. I installed that and it seems to have fixed the problem... for now.
